This was certainly one of the more unusual features, especially when I am pleased to say that it was thirty one years ago since I got married, and when all the attention all those many years ago was on the selection and fitting of the main event of the day, the wedding dress for my wife.
Dramas are made of such selection procedures; the dress for that special day is the main focus for many months before the event, and also how to fit it in to an ever shrinking budget. Dresses can and so often do cost a relative fortune and few stones are ever left unturned in the search for that very special dress to make everyone gasp as the beautiful bride walks serenely up the aisle, attracting admiring glances from guests throughout the church.
I know to my own cost the price so often paid in both time and money when elder daughter Emma was married a few years ago, houses and cars have been purchased for less!!
When a work colleague recently found an online supplier, one who specialised in the creation of wedding dresses to be measured, made, fitted and shipped across the globe I was intrigued, more so for her, with little more than a year to her own big event, and counting. We jointly has a closer look on the web, ideal to both look closely and then ask questions, firing questions about fitting, online measurements and shipping, returns policy if additional fitting was required, shipping costs, together with anything else that entered our mind for such an unusual yet innovative concept.
