My journey to Europe started with a single click, and that click of my computer mouse took me to www.europcar.co.uk where all I required was clearly available and easily digested. From a wide choice of vehicles in various categories, with more than 220,000 cars on offer worldwide, prices and locations there was a wealth of helpful information on driving abroad, vital for me as my journey was due to take me through France to my destination in Belgium.
The reason for my search for a top quality and reliable international car hire company was the fact that daughter Emma, husband Jamie and baby Lucy were travelling with us on a short European break, taking in some travel writing, restaurant visits and a family celebration in Belgium, the wedding of Hans and Nina, in Leuven, some twenty minutes from Brussels.
With those facts very much in mind it was rather obvious that our own family vehicles would not suffice in terms of space, whilst they are adequate for everyday travel and occasional shopping, they certainly would not cope with suitcases, children
