This was not a return journey back to a restaurant and yet it was a return, barely a few months after visiting the restaurant of the same name at Marble Arch, where the experience was simply first class. The theme of the same name continued to echo as we asked the taxi driver to take us from the Conrad Hotel, also on Avenue Louise, to La Porte des Indes, some distance away but on the same lengthy road. The driver explained that he knew the restaurant and duly dropped us off, Sue, Emma, Jamie and baby Lucy.
I said to the others that the journey was very quick, and it was our intention to walk back, the weather in this August evening was warm, and the walk may encourage Lucy to sleep peacefully after her maiden visit to an illustrious Indian restaurant.
