Nirvana Spa

After being members of Nirvana Spa for some considerable time Carol and I were looking forward to indulging ourselves with two treatments. After a long week, with the ravages of teaching young children taking their toll, we sacrificed our usual visit to the pub for the much more beneficial option of a facial and a massage. Friday evening was unseasonably hot and this made the club quieter than a typical Friday evening which was lovely. As we changed into more appropriate clothing the changing room was a haven of peace and just what the doctor ordered.

We waited for our treatment in a small area outside the reception for treatments. We did note this was a little cramped and only had four chairs which might not have been sufficient at busy times.
After being collected by the therapist I was taken to an upstairs treatment area for the next hour.

We both had a Clarins vitality facial. This is a half-hour treatment in a suitably dimly-lit room with scented candles. The therapist was prompt and friendly and we noted that she remembered to ask about any allergies (which is not always the case at other establishments). The facial involved a quick examination and discussion of our skin type and then appropriate products were used. After cleansing and massage a face mask was applied. As this needed time to set we were given a dry head massage. This would not be to everyone
