Restaurateurs Take Action to Help Flood Victims

 

 

More than fifty restaurateurs in Medway have joined forces to set up the "Medway Bangladesh Flood Appeal", urging people to help raise funds and contribute generously to help the victims of the disaster.

Two thirds of Bangladesh has been inundated by the worst Monsoon floods in 15 years and water and sewage systems in Dhaka have broken down completely

The vast majority of the restaurants have pledged one days takings for the cause and details of participating restaurants will be available soon.

Raja Miah explains, "Shortly many of the participating restaurants, business,
and voluntary groups will have collection boxes. Members of the committee will be visiting local groups for their support and to build awareness
