Whittlebury Hall

This is a perfect environment for a relaxed break with the benefit of a number of features that lift this gem of a hotel and spa well above the ordinary. Recently awarded the accolade of Heart of England Hotel of the Year 2002, it is an amalgam of hotel. Spa and training centre situated some twenty minutes from the M40 Junction 15.

Choice is extensive regardless of your interests and the comfort and elegance of the Georgian architecture provides all visitors and guests with a platform of comfort, relaxation. With a spa offering a lengthy menu of treatments in sumptuous surroundings and a veritable army of highly trained staff.

Whittlebury Hall is very short drive from Silverstone Race track, and a veritable library of memories, photographs and signed memorabilia adorn the attractive Silverstone Bar, sharing a drink with many of the famous names from Formula One.

Pampering breaks, special days and family mini- breaks with activities for all the family are all on the menu, before you reach the restaurant. Within the spa is the very latest in fitness as well as health and beauty facilities, I spent a great deal of time in this key element within the hotel.

Astons Restaurant was my home on the evening of the great gales in England, escaping from the outside ravages of the weather to savour a menu that, for my personal interests, includes the following magnificent dishes.

The wine list was extensive, with a range to suit the careful and the carefree. I enjoyed a initial glass of Sauvignon Blanc followed with a Rosemount Jigsaw red along with my magnificent rib of beef. There is an additional restaurant, Murrays, which has recently been recognised by the award of 2AA Rosettes for the fine food on offer, adding to the width of choice within the complex.

This is a base for the business traveller gathering together for a few intensive training days, with the supporting facilities to match. With the health spa, fitness room as well as a range of related activities it provides a great attraction to visitors providing an ideal break for a special occasion, birthday or anniversary. Light menus are available here in the health spa, combining swimming, short spells in the sauna whilst enjoying a cappuccino or two.
